AND SHARES JUMP Robert Earl the creator of Planet Hollywood has bought 3.25% of City wine bar operator Courtyard Leisure. He bought 900 000 shares at 11.5p. Courtyard has also allotted 418 822 shares at 11.5p to Lynne Goodson. Courtyard which gained new chairman Richard Capper in June recently spoke of a "brighter future" after revealing first half sales ahead of 1995. Shares responded well to Mr Earl's purchase & by lunchtime they were trading 7}p up at 21p. 20:17/04;

DEATH TOLL MOUNTS IN MIDDLE EAST RIOTS

Around 35 Palestinians have been shot dead in a second day of violence in the Gaza Strip & West Bank. Israeli army radio said 11 Israelis had also died including two soldiers while Palestine radio said several PLO officials had been wounded Yesterday five Palestinians were killed and 300 hurt on the West Bank. Palestinians are enraged at the opening of a tunnel in Jerusalem near one of Islam's holiest sites.
