Two men have been arrested following the murder of a British soldier in Austria ` bringing the number in police custody to five. Corporal Derek Osborne from Barrow-in- Furness Cumbria was kicked to death outside a club in Innsbruck last week. The two men believed uo be of Serbian descent & in their 20s were detained on the Austro-Hungarian border. Cpl Osborne 31 was married with a five-year-old son.
The remains of a body found in Japan have been identified as those of British bar hostess Lucie Blackman. The body was identified using dental records despite the fact that her head had been encased in concrete according to Japanese police. Lucie 22 was working in a Tokyo bar when she vanished last July. The remains were found near the flat of a Japanese man charged with drugging and raping several western women.

Lucie Blackman's relatives have spoken of their anguish after Japanese police confirmed her remains had been found. hope that she had a glass of champagne felt a bit woozy & then passed out. "I hope that she felt no terror or pain and where she is now she is happy." He said he felt a "significant feeling of relief" after months of uncertainty about his daughter's fate.
