TWO DIE AS FLOODWATERS SWEEP AWAY CAR
Two people have died after the car they were travelling in was swept away by floodwaters in Devon. A woman's body was found inside the upturned car and rescue teams later recovered a man's body from the river at Cheriton Fitzpaine near Crediton. Rescuers were alerted after news that a car had been swept into the watercourse ` known as the Hollywater River. Police say the man & woman have not yet been identified.

MORE MISERY FOR WEST COUNTRY COMMUTERS
Rail travellers in the south west of England are facing up to a week of renewed disruption after storms swept the region First Great Western says. Services to the area have been halted at Taunton due to a flooded bridge north of Exeter. It has laid on buses to bring people to Bristol. The Severn Crossing near Bristol is closed due to high winds. Some 140 flood warnings have been issued & more heavy rain is forecast.

ISRAELI MISSILES "KILL FIVE IN W BANK"
Four Palestinian policemen & a Palestinian civilian are reported to have been killed in a missile attack by Israeli troops in the West Bank. A Palestinian official said the deaths occurred when three anti-tank missiles were fired at a police base in Jenin. Earlier an Israeli man & woman died when a Palestinian gunman shot at their car near the Kiryat Arba settlement. And two Palestinians have died in clashes in Bethlehem & Jerusalem.
