FRENCH WWI BOMB FOUND IN CANADA AFrench WWI bomb which failed to blow up in the biggest explosion before the atomic era has turned up in Halifax harbour in Canada. Experts say it was almost certainly part of a munitions load on the French warship Mont Blanc which exploded in 1917 the French news agency AFP said. Some 2 000 people were killed in the collision between the ship & a Belgian relief boat in the harbour. About 200 homes were evacuated when the bomb was found.

The UN says it suspects one of the worst massacres of Kosovo Albanians so far has taken place in Kosovo. Its refugee agency the UNHCR says between 100 & 200 people were rounded up & killed overnight around the southwestern town of Djakovica. The agency quotes accounts from refugees arriving in Albania. Djakovica was the scene of a Nato air strike this month on a refugee convoy that killed scores of Kosovo Albanians.

TEEN TRIO LINKED TO US SCHOOL SHOOTING

Three camouflaged teenagers detained shortly after the Denver high school massacre are being investigated for possible involvement in a conspiracy. "They were in combat fatigues. They said they heard it on the radio. Well it wasn't on the radio at that time " said Sheriff John Stone. Eric Harris 18 and Dylan Klebold 17 killed 13 people then shot themselves. The three teens knew the pair Sheriff Stone added.

Munich'sSueddeutsche Zeitungdescribes the deputy prime minister as Slobodan Milosevic's court jester. It suggests that Draskovic's comments could be an attempt by the authorities to slowly acquaint the population with the impossibility of victory.

US President Bill Clinton has asked Congress for more money to carry out military action against Yugoslavia. A confident Mr Clinton said the outcome of the conflict was inevitable ` the refugees would be returned to Kosovo. The weather would get better over the coming months aiding Nato in its air strikes against Serbia's military infrastructure he added.

CIVILIAN DEATHS REPORTED IN NATO ATTACK

Nato says it is possible more than one bomb missed its target in an attack on the southern Serb town of Surdulica. A laser-guided bomb hit a residential area during an attack on what Nato said said was an amry training centre. But it said it could not exclude the possibility that more than one bomb went astray. The Serb authorities say up to 20 people died in the attack mostly women and children.
