YUGOSLAV TARGETS BOMBED FOR 25th NIGHT

Britain says RAF Harriers hit Serb army and special police force targets in Kosovo in the latest attacks. UK Chief of Operations Air Marshal Sir John Day said RBL 755 cluster bombs had struck armoured personnel carriers & military vehicles. Refineries & chemical plants in Novi Sad & Belgrade and an airport were hit in Nato attacks Serb media said. A three-year-old child was reportedly killed during attacks on Belgrade.

NATO ADMITS POSSIBLE ATTACK ON REFUGEES

A US Air Force General has admitted refugees may have been killed by Nato planes in Kosovo convoys last Wednesday Brig-Gen Dan Leaf said military vehicles had been targeted but "Nato may have inadvertently struck civilian- type vehicles & civilian personnel". However he said that the attacks were "terminated" once it was realised that civilians may have been hurt. Yugoslavia said over 70 people died in the attack on the convoy at Dakovica.

HARRIER PILOTS BACK INTO STRIKE ACTION

RAF pilots have been back in action striking against Serb targets Group Captain Glenn Edge has said. Four of the £20m Harrier GR7 jets were launched from Italy a day after bad weather had halted bombing raids. Meanwhile the first group of US Apache attack helicopters is expected in Albania shortly to take part in air strikes against Yugoslavia. Each can attack tanks & other ground targets four miles away.

850 000 FORCED TO FLEE HOMES IN KOSOVO Around 40 000 people have fled Kosovo over the past 24 hours according to Nato estimates. The alliance says it now believes at least 630 000 ethnic Albanians have been pushed out of the province since air strikes began on March 24. Nato says 850 000 have either fled the area or still remain trapped in Kosovo. Serbia has set up a corridor between the Kosovo town of Podujevo & Pristina to increase the deportations.

FRENCH MILITARY CAMP IN CORSICA BOMBED

An explosion has caused extensive centre near Ajaccio in western Corsica. Two masked men entered the camp after tying up two guards and then planted plastic explosives in some of the buildings French radio reported. The letters "FLNC" standing for the separatist Corsican National Liberation Front were found daubed at the scene. The traditional wing of the FLNC recently claimed responsibility for 11 violent incidents on the island.

PAPER SAYS US JETS WARNED ABOUT CONVOY

An RAF pilot reportedly warned US planes not to attack a refugee convoy killing scores of people fleeing Kosovo The pilot saw there were civilian vehicles amongst Serb military traffic according to The Express newspaper. Military sources said he warned the F- 16 pilots but they attacked anyway. Defence Secretary George Robertson told BBC Radio 4 Yugoslav forces were to blame for the deaths for having mixed civilian & military vehicles.
