CIVILIANS "FORCED TO BURY KOSOVO DEAD"

Kosovo civilians dressed in orange uniforms are being forced to dig graves for their compatriots Nato has said. Alliance spokesman Gen Giuseppe Marani said the gravediggers' were made to dig "neat rows of graves facing Mecca". He added that Nato had photographic evidence of 43 mass graves in Kosovo. Earlier UK Armed Forces Minister Doug Henderson said civilians dressed in red were being forced to move bodies to hide evidence of massacres.

BORDER LANDMINE KILLS KOSOVO REFUGEES

Five Kosovo Albanian refugees ` including three children ` died when their car struck a landmine at the border with Albania witnesses said. The Organisation for Security & Cooperation in Europe said the vehicle blew up as it approached the border. Yugoslav police temporarily halted border crossings after the blast. Belgrade's forces have been laying mines in the area in preparation for any ground invasion by Nato.

SERB AIR DEFENCES SUFFER "MAJOR DAMAGE"

Nato says its aircraft have now carried out more than 300 attacks against almost 200 targets in Yugoslavia. UK Chief of Joint Operations Vice Admiral Sir Ian Garnett said "considerable" physical damage had been caused to Yugoslavia's air defences. He said allied planes had not been as successful against Yugoslav operations on the ground in Kosovo. But they had "hampered" Yugoslav troops he told a military briefing.

YUGOSLAV TARGETS BOMBED FOR 25th NIGHT

Britain says RAF Harriers hit Serb army and special police force targets in Kosovo in the latest attacks. UK Chief of Operations Air Marshal Sir John Day said RBL 755 cluster bombs had struck armoured personnel carriers & military vehicles. Refineries & chemical plants in Novi Sad & Belgrade and an airport were hit in Nato attacks Serb media said. A three-year-old child was reportedly killed during attacks on Belgrade.
